When the network’s highest rated show returns on Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. season one veterans Jody Claman, Mary Zilba and Ronnie Negus will be back and joined by three new faces.
As for the fresh talent Slice’s press release describes the women as: a southern belle; a Russian-born beauty and a former party girl. See something for everyone.
“Season One of The Real Housewives of Vancouver was a massive hit on Slice. Adding three new wives to our existing roster of fabulous stars is going to turn the series on its head, tripling the potential for new relationships, drama and spectacle,” said Slice executive Barbara Williams.
Ioulia Reynolds says on her Twitter account that she is “Russian, entrepreneur, art lover, free spirit and business mind.” Apparently she also has a fiery temper and a quirky sense of humour. Another pair of assets that come in handy for a reality TV star.
Mother of three Amanda Hansen calls herself a reformed party girl. That translates to she’s been to rehab, but no word if she is getting help for her “self-proclaimed sex addiction.”
Hmmm a further read of the bio and you have to wonder how does someone who is addicted to sex (yeah right) maintain a long-distance relationship? I mean, Skype is good, but come on?
Robin Reichman’s resume says the mother of two is a southern belle (former prison whose divorce left her loaded, which comes in handy when you are also a horsey gal.
But weirdly the bio also states she is so posh she has a Prada saddle for her horse Giggy. Um okay not to pull up on the reins too hard, but a Prada saddle? Sorry, maybe a Prada saddle purse or saddle shoes. I couldn’t find a Prada saddle anywhere. Now those truly well-heeled and well-versed horsey types know if you want to throw around designers and actual saddles the name is Hermès.
There isn’t much else to share as Slice does an excellent job at clamming up. This show is very tightly protected and you’ll get no gossip from veteran cast members. Requests to talk are re-buffed or met with “talk to my PR.”
These women have had it drilled into them loose lips sink storylines and more importantly will cause lawsuits.
So the only bone I can really offer up here is that Hansen and Claman are apparently pals. Well, at least they were when they started filming this past summer.
So that means one thing for sure: a tough season two for Jody’s favourite target Mary.
Just to remind you the three new faces take spots vacated by Christina Kiesel and Reiko Mackenzie.
While Reiko’s workouts, bike rides and baking won’t be missed Christina’s free-will will be.
“They are narcissistic and psychopaths, and they are greedy,” said Christina describing the tiny terrors known as Jody and her daughter Mia Claman. “There’s nothing worse than a greedy narcissistic psychopath.”
So sad to see the blonde, sometimes-bombed bombshell go. Also with Christina out does that mean her pal and everyone’s favourite boozy, gay sidekick Kevin Chase will no longer show up? Gasp, I hope not.
